Statement from Board of Regents Chancellor Betty A. Rosa on DACA
Along with Native Americans who emigrated centuries ago and those听people听who were brought to this land听against their will to serve听as slaves, American society consists of immigrants听and descendants of immigrants听from all over the world. 听Those children and young adults who are currently under the protection of听the DACA executive order have already contributed positively to the American way of life and have vast potential for future contributions that may surpass all expectations. 听We need to see our elected leaders at all levels of government do the right thing and strengthen the fabric of our country, not听tear it apart.
